This Victoria’s Secret Angel and Burberry model is also an actress from Transformers: Dark of the Moon. She has graced many runways and magazine covers but according to her she wasn’t always so glamorous, especially as a young teenager from a farm in Devon, England. “I was a bit of an Ugly Betty when I was 15,” she says. With braces and all, she started as an intern at a modeling agency doing everything but modeling. It wasn’t until a new agent started and saw potential.
“I was obsessed with fashion,” she admitted. “I was just fascinated by these images and the photo shoots – and what went into that, what happened behind the scenes. How you create that glamour and mystery and the theatrical nature of the picture – that was what really interested me and my bedroom was just full of pictures of models and tear-outs from magazines,’ she said. She particularly looked up to super-models, Gisele Bundchen and Kate Moss.
When she was 18 she moved to New York and immediately became a Victoria’s Secret angel. Who does that?! Gorgeous people like her, that’s who! Just 3 years later, she became the new face of Burberry. “To be 21, working with Mario Testino and Christopher Bailey, it was a milestone moment,” she says. This past fall, she was featured on Burberry billboards everywhere from Herald Square in New York to the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.
This year has been just like all the rest for miss Rosie, since she started her career…successful. Back in August she launched her first lingerie collection in a partnership with Marks & Spencer. Given her years modeling lingerie for everyone from Victoria’s Secret to Agent Provocateur, we’re sure she knows a thing or two about what makes good, wearable lingerie. She made an appearance at the Marks & Spencer store on London’s Oxford Street to officially unveil the 33-piece collection, which she said were created with women of ‘all shapes and sizes’ in mind. The collection consists of silk lingerie sets, camisoles and French knickers and kimono-style robes decorated with rose-print motifs and deco-inspired detailing.
‘M&S is an iconic British brand, adored by many so I’m very excited to be launching my debut lingerie line with them,’ said Rosie. She went on to say that, ‘To find inspiration for the collection I trawled my favourite vintage shops and flea markets in London, LA and Paris where I found a treasure trove of gorgeous clothes and ornate pieces of jewellery, as well as pictures and patterns found in old design books and fashion magazines. I was particularly drawn to the opulent elegance of the Twenties era which really shows in my designs from the sumptuous silks I chose to the intricate deco-inspired embroidery detailing on the garments. ‘The palette was not only inspired by my favourite Twenties pieces, but also it was largely influenced by the rich colours of different types of roses. From the muted tones of dusky pink and green through to dramatic scarlet blooms, I wanted the palette to evoke the beauty of a gorgeous British garden in summer. I also drew on my experiences as a model to create lingerie pieces that work on the body and are as comfortable to wear as they are beautiful. My goal was to create a luxurious collection which could flatter women of all ages and sizes, inspiring confidence and making women feel gorgeous in their lingerie. I made sure each design incorporated different shapes of bra and knicker together with camis and kimonos to complement the figure.’
M&S said that Rosie’s collection called, ‘For Autograph’ encompasses the chic and sophisticated look synonymous with the Autograph brand, combined with the expertise and inspiration drawn from Rosie’s extensive experience in the fashion industry’. M&S head of design for lingerie, Soozie Jenkinson said, ‘It’s been a great experience working together with Rosie. She is as passionate about beautiful lingerie as we are. We have combined Rosie’s ideas with our extensive expertise in lingerie design and development to create a truly luxurious collection which is not only beautiful but also extremely accessible and affordable for our customers.’
‘I love everything about lingerie, I’ve always had a thing for it,’ she said. ‘It is completely feminine, it’s something for women, it’s ours and it’s a little secret,’ said Rosie.
Yet another large milestone in the 25 year old’s life is a new home in the Hollywood Hills with boyfriend, Jason Statham. She and British actor Jason, 44, have been dating since April 2010 and may be thinking about starting a family soon as Rosie recently revealed that she thinks motherhood will be a role in her life. During an interview with Elle magazine, she said: ‘I always see myself working, but definitely being a mum will be a big part of me. Look, I think my career is very self-indulgent. It’s all about me. I’m not a doctor, I’m not looking after people, I’m not saving children. I’m in the entertainment business. I’m a model. I’m an actress. So it is very self-involved. I think there is naturally a point where you think, ‘I don’t care about myself as number one any more.’ I want to care about other things.’

Earlier this month Rosie was spotted for yet another Vogue photo shoot. On Saturday (December 8) in Palmdale, California. She tweeted, “My set for the day….#VOGUE @ Four Aces Movie Set,” Rosie tweeted, with a picture of the gas station. “Magic hour in Palmdale #VOGUESHOOT.” As always she looked stunning, dressed in casual clothing but with full hair and make-up ahead of her shoot. She was sporting a black leather jacket over a matching top, along with skinny jeans. She topped that off with a pair of western style brown ankle boots, which were embellished with beads and fringing.
The actress shared photos of the motel set on Instagram and Twitter, as well as a stunning snap of herself while taking a break. She appeared to be dressed in a fur-trimmed jacket and had a beautiful black choker around her neck.
