MY VUITTON SPRING / SUMMER 2014 PICKS
A part of Marc Jacobs’s will always be a part of the infamous brand history Louis Vuitton history after his 16-year tenure is over. The Spring Summer 2014 show was almost like a funeral with a dark tone. All of Jacobs Spring Summer line are mostly the most memorable pieces were displayed in black silk and chiffon surrounded by his past ingenious fashion design moments including surroundings like the elevator, fountains, escalators and more! Model, Edie Campbell started the show by walking out naked with nothing but glitter and graffiti. See my picks from the Spring Summer ready to wear collection pictured in this post.
Mark Jacobs, the creative director made the decision to concentrate on his own label more this year with his long time partner for the Marc Jacobs brand, Robert Duffy. The French luxury conglomerate LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton made the announcement before the SS show but has not said who will replace him as the creative director of their flagship brand.
These ready to wear pieces are fantastic and are nothing short of brilliant!
The line focused on high cropped military jackets, bare midriffs, tailored, loose, wide legged pants and puffed out sleeves. There of course the traditional tweed jackets in denim shades and fringe. The models were mostly paired with flat ankle boots and sandals.
This all black show paid homage to his start at Louis Vuitton, as his very first show was all black as well.
Mega designer, Marc Jacobs gave his last Spring/Summer 2014 women’s ready-to-wear fashion show for French fashion house Louis Vuitton as a part of the Paris fashion week Oct 2, 2013.
