Featured throughout the pages of this Karl Lagerfeld’s campaign are models: Nadja Bender, Ashleigh Good, Dalianah Arekion. This collection takes you back to the 20’s with a hint of the 50’s which is the inspiration of many brands this year but Chanel takes the cake. You will lush over the luxe fashion with, of course, tweed, twill, leather, and pearls. The campaign features a mushtashe throughout, a rumored ode to Coco Chanel’s secret affair with Salvador Dali.
Drape me in Chanel.
I am quite at home in this seasons cruise line that was crafted with the Singaporian culture in mind. Last May Karl Lagerfeld guided the Chanel entourage to Singapore. Why? Basically because he has done everywhere else. At Dempsey Hill, celebrities and fashion insiders gathered for a colonial fashion infused show.
My favorites included hour glass fitted dresses, pencil skirts, loose fitting shorts, wide-leg trousers, long cardigans, pleaded sweaters, and extra frilly dresses!
This line gives you something to wear for any scene from dainty diaphanous looks to edgy (and slightly surprising) revealing attire, you will be set.
Keeping the brand true to it’s roots, this line also featured many male clothing – inspired looks tailored to fit the woman. But that is not to take away from it’s femininity, with frill and plenty of tweed topped with pearls draped heavily, this is a line any woman can lounge happily in while on vacation in Singapore or anywhere in the world and the bags….the bags!
Take a look at my favorite bags of the season. Chanel bags are the epitome of fashion and a must-have accessory for any woman’s closet!
